Luxury conglomerate LVMH has announced the appointment of Philippe Farnier as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Parfums Christian Dior and the LVMH Beauty Division, effective immediately. The move reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening leadership and accelerating growth across its global beauty portfolio.

In his new role, Farnier will report directly to Véronique Courtois, Chairman and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior and the LVMH Beauty Division. Courtois assumed leadership of the division earlier this year, succeeding Stéphane Rinderknech.

As Deputy CEO, Farnier will work closely with Courtois on key strategic initiatives and transformation projects across the beauty division. His responsibilities will include overseeing commercial operations and omnichannel activities, ensuring stronger integration between retail, digital, and global markets.

The appointment comes at a time when the beauty sector is evolving rapidly, with luxury brands increasingly focusing on digital innovation, global expansion, and consumer experience.

According to an official statement from LVMH, Farnier will help drive greater synergies and competitiveness across the division’s maisons, while supporting sustainable long-term growth in the global beauty market.

Farnier brings more than three decades of leadership experience in the global luxury and consumer goods industry. His career began in the early 1990s with management roles at companies such as Mondelez International and Heineken.

In 2003, he joined Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, where he served as General Manager for France. Farnier later joined LVMH in 2008 as General Manager of Parfums Christian Dior France.

Over the years, he held several key roles within the group, including General Manager of Travel Retail EMEA and Global Marketing for Dior. In 2015, he moved to the spirits industry, joining Rémy Cointreau as President and CEO for the Americas before becoming CEO of Rémy Martin and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Farnier returned to LVMH in April 2022 and has since been involved in leading global commercial activities for Parfums Christian Dior.
